Lorry Sticker Prices in Malaysia — 7 Things That Set the Cost
Two lorries that look identical can come back with very different quotes. This breaks down the seven things that actually move the price of a lorry sticker job, so you can read any quote and know what you are paying for.

Why two near-identical lorries can come back with very different quotes

Why There Is No Single Fixed Price For Lorry Stickers
The first question that reaches us most days is "how much for a lorry sticker?" — and the honest answer is: it depends. Not because we are being cagey, but because a lorry is not a standard object. 🚚
A 1-tonne lorry and a 5-tonne lorry are not the same job. A lorry that only needs the company name on the doors is not the same job as one that wants a full design bumper to bumper. And a lorry with clean panels is not the same job as one that has spent ten years on construction sites.
What we can do is show you openly what moves the price. Once you understand the seven factors below, you can read any quote — ours or anyone else's — and judge whether the number is reasonable.
1. Lorry Size — the Number One Factor
Vinyl is bought and applied by surface area. The bigger the body, the more material and the longer the installation. This is the one factor that cannot be negotiated — it is arithmetic.
1-tonne lorry
Urban delivery vehicles, small box vans, bodied pickups. Smallest surface, fastest turnaround, lowest price.
3-tonne lorry
The most common size in Malaysian small and mid-size business fleets. Taller and longer body, so material and labour both step up.
5-tonne and above
Large, high side panels. These jobs usually need ladders or a platform, two installers, and a longer working window. That is why it sits in its own tier in our lorry sticker packages.
2. How Much Of The Body Is Covered
After size, this is the second biggest lever. Two identical 3-tonne lorries can differ by nearly double on coverage alone.
Door panels only
Company name, address and basic details on the driver and passenger doors. The smallest job we do, and often the first one an owner needs.
Partial
A design band running across the body, a large centred logo, and contact details. This is the most commonly chosen option because it delivers the most visual impact per ringgit.
Single side
Some owners wrap only the side that faces the main road when the lorry is parked at their premises. That is a sensible cost decision, not a shortcut.
Full bumper-to-bumper wrap
The whole body, rear doors, bumper and sometimes the cab roof. The most expensive option, and the one that genuinely turns the lorry into a moving billboard.
If you are not sure which coverage suits you, the wrap picker on the homepage shows the difference between each option visually.
3. Vinyl Grade
This is where cheap shops most often hide a price difference — and where customers most often regret it twelve months later.
Cast vinyl versus calendered vinyl
Cast vinyl is thinner, more dimensionally stable, and does not shrink under repeated heat. Calendered vinyl costs less but tends to shrink and lift at the edges, especially over the contoured ribs of a lorry body.
What we use
We print on 3M and Avery cast vinyl only. That material costs more on day one, and the quote shows it. What you get in return is a 5 to 7 year vinyl life under Malaysian conditions — vertical sun, heavy rain, frequent washing.
4. Design Work
Material and labour are easy to count. Design depends on where you are starting from.
You already have artwork files
If your company has vector logo files and a colour guide, design becomes a layout job — fitting existing artwork to the shape of your lorry body.
You are starting from nothing
Most lorry owners are here. You have a logo as a small image from a name card, and that is it. Design starts with redrawing that logo so it stays sharp at one metre wide.
Revisions
Every package includes two free revisions. That matters to your cost: without a stated revision limit, design work can run long, and that is time billed on both sides.
5. Surface Condition
Vinyl bonds to a clean, dry, even surface. It does not bond permanently to rust, flaking paint or deep dents.
A new or well-kept lorry can go straight to installation. A lorry that has been working for years may need preparation first — and that work has a cost, whether it is done by us, by your workshop, or not at all (which means the vinyl lifts early).
What we check before giving a final price
- Rust along panel edges and around door hinges.
- Old paint that has faded badly or started to flake.
- Dents deep enough that vinyl will bridge and bubble over them.
- Adhesive residue from old stickers that was never cleaned off.
- Oil or grease on the lower body panels.
This is why we ask for photos of your lorry before quoting. Photos save both sides time and avoid a price that changes after the lorry arrives.
6. Cut Vinyl Or Full Print
Two methods, two entirely different cost structures.
Cut vinyl
Letters and shapes are cut from solid coloured vinyl, then applied directly to the body. No ink, no lamination. Right for company names, phone numbers, door details and simple one or two colour designs. Material cost is lower because only the cut shapes are used.
Full print
The design is printed onto white vinyl and then laminated. This is what you need for photographs, gradients, many colours, or anything that cannot be cut as a solid shape.
A lot of lorry work is actually a mix of both — the body printed for the design, the doors cut in vinyl for official details that need to stay crisp and readable.
7. Installation Location And Time
The last factor is the one most often forgotten, even though it is frequently the biggest cost to a lorry owner.
If your lorry has to be sent to a shop and left there, you lose that lorry's working day. For a vehicle that earns daily, that cost can exceed the price gap between two quotes.
The way we work is installation at the customer's own location — your workshop, your depot, your company car park. The lorry does not travel. We do.
We cover the whole of Malaysia, including the highest commercial-lorry density areas such as lorry stickers in Klang and lorry stickers in Shah Alam.

Conclusion
The price of a lorry sticker job is not a secret number — it is the result of seven decisions you make: lorry size, how much of the body is covered, material grade, where the design starts, surface condition, cut or print, and where the work is installed.
Change any one of those and the price moves. Understand all seven and you will never again wonder why two quotes for "a 3-tonne lorry" can differ by a thousand ringgit.
FAQ
Can you quote without seeing my lorry?
We can give a range based on tonnage and the coverage you choose. For a firm price we ask for photos — especially of surface condition, since that is what most often changes the number.
Why can another shop quote lower?
Usually one of three things: a lower vinyl grade, less coverage than you assumed, or installation that requires you to deliver the lorry yourself. Compare the five points in the list above first.
My fleet has eight lorries. Is the price different?
Yes. A fleet of five or more falls under Pakej Size XL, because the design is shared across all vehicles and installation is done in one trip. Cost per lorry drops compared with one-off jobs.
What if I only need the company name on the doors?
That is the smallest and cheapest cut-vinyl job we do. We would still suggest considering it alongside body branding, since design and installation travel costs are shared between the two.
